World Premiere - The Water of the Womb

It is with great pride and much excitement that we announce the international premiere of our short film The Water of the Womb.
The film will premiere during the 24th edition of the Izmir International Short Film Festival, as part of their Panorama short film program.

Izmir was the birthplace of my mother, who immigrated to this country with my grandparents in 1969. Having the opportunity to premiere this work where her story began will be both bitter and sweet, as there is no one I would rather share the experience and occasion with than mum.

I am feeling very lucky for the work of my wonderful cast and crew, who supported me during a delicate and intense period in my life leading to and encompassing this production. In particular I want to endlessly thank my co-producer and knight in shining armour Madelin Latomanski, for her artistry and support throughout the process.

Grief and loss is unbelievably difficult, but it is a little easier when you are surround by beautiful people.

Screening session times and location will be shared closer to the date of the event, between 14 - 19 November, 2023.
