THE WATER OF THE WOMB: St Kilda Film FestivaL

We are proud to share that our short and poetic narrative drama debut from Baris Ulusoy, The Water of the Womb, has been officially selected to screen at the 2025 St Kilda Film Festival, as part of the prestigious ‘Australia’s Top Short Films’ program.

Catch the screening on Tuesday, June 11th at 6:30pm at St Kilda Town Hall.

Written, directed, produced and starring Baris Ulusoy, The Water of the Womb is an intimate, emotionally charged drama exploring themes of loss, grief, and persistence of character. The evocative visual language of the film is helmed by Cinematographer: Bonita Carzino and Production Designer: Madelin Latomanski. With a delicate, yet poignant original score and sound design from Josh Peters, and editing by Orson Dijle. The film is the result of an incredible creative team coming together to tell a story that’s as personal as it is universal.

We’re honoured to be included in this year’s lineup and deeply grateful to the St Kilda Film Festival for recognising our work.

If you’re in Melbourne, come join us for the screening and support bold new voices in Australian filmmaking.

Tickets and full program details are available at the St Kilda Film Festival website.

See you there!
